BETH’S TIP
Learning and implementing these steps will help to create an environment where you're set up for success with most of your couples. But keep in mind that there's also a chance you may be working with a client who isn't the right fit. Executing new habits and learning to communicate clearly with your couples is about 80% of the battle. You must also be able to identify when a client is a poor fit BEFORE they sign the contract. If you're doing your part to earn their trust, communicate clearly and establish your expertise, and they are still disrespecting you or your process, let them go. Simply say "I'm sorry, but I don't think I'm the right fit for you." While that may sound scary and confrontational, it's important to protect your business as well as offer the couple the opportunity to find a planner who's better suited for their expectations and working style.
